When Ryan, my brother, first introduced the idea of forming a new organization, Rally Team for Dreams, to me, this was his thought: Racing is an expensive, self-centered sport. It's all about the driving team and the car. And while that's great and it's fun, he and Andrew wanted to do something more. If they are able to pursue their dreams, they want to be able to help others while doing it. This isn't a partnership for the sake of raising enough money to get to the rally - they truly want to make a difference and positively impact the lives of children suffering from the affects of HIV/AIDS. This is evident by the percentage of money they're donating to Camp Sunrise for each block sold.
Rally Team for Dreams only has 5 days left to raise the money they need to represent children in front of the entire world at the WRC Corona Rally Mexico and send children affected by HIV/AIDS to summer camp where they are free to be kids. YOU can be part of making these dreams a reality. Go to their website and buy your block on the car for just $5!!!! You can buy 1 block, 10 blocks, or 100... personalize it (them) with a picture(s). I bought my blocks in honor of the amazing teens I worked with in Romania over the summer. When that rally car races in Mexico, their faces will be on the car! Buy a block (or several) for you, in honor of a friend or loved one, to advertise your business, or, well... the options are endless.
If you have any questions about the rally team, Camp Sunrise, or why Ryan and Andrew are doing this - please post a comment or send me an email. I will gladly answer any questions you have! Check out their website, and please, join their cause. Every block sold makes a positive difference.

Rally Team for Dreams - huh?
You may have seen it on Facebook or Twitter, but what exactly is Rally Team for Dreams??? It's a rally race team, Andrew and Ryan, who have found a great way to make a difference in the lives of children. Rally Team for Dreams was formed by Andrew and Ryan who are trying to raise money for children hoping to attend Camp Sunrise, while at the same time trying to achieve their own dreams of running in the WRC Corona Rally in Mexico.
The only camp of its kind in Ohio, Camp Sunrise is specially designed for children who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. A week of camp may not seem that special to you and me, but for kids who have been exposed to the horrors of this awful disease, it's the chance to really be a kid around people who "get you." No stereotypes, no stigmas... just a place where they are free to be themselves. For $5, you can purchase and personalize a 1 x 1 inch block on the rally car, with part of the proceeds going to send children to Camp Sunrise, cost free for their families. The more blocks that are sold, the greater percentage Ryan and Andrew will donate to campers, even up to 50%!
I am so proud of the steps my brother Ryan and his friend Andrew are taking to help others achieve their dreams while they pursue the chance to race in Mexico. If you can't spare $5, then like them on Facebook and tweet about their mission; spread the word to your family and friends! This isn't about large donations; it's about hundreds of people joining together behind a common cause to make a positive difference in the lives of kids right here in Ohio.

Personal Thoughts on the Disability Ministry Conference
On a more personal level...
Two Scripture passages stuck out to me more than all the others we read during the weekend. They are in Acts 3 and Mark 2. In Acts 3, Peter and John interact with a man begging at the temple gate. He asks them for the money, but they have none. Instead of brushing him off and passing him by, they enter into a conversation with him. And while they have no money to offer, they share what they do have; they share Jesus through physical healing. I've been searching my heart for the various things I have to offer. I can offer Jesus, yes. But through what means? I can give my time by playing games, engaging in conversation, or merely sitting with someone so he or she doesn't have to sit alone. I can offer an education by implementing new strategies and adaptations. I can give empathy and friendship.
Mark 2:1-5 talks about a man who was paralyzed. His friends literally cut a hole in the roof to be able to drop this man at Jesus' feet. I was thinking about this story. The man who was paralyzed had probably heard of Jesus; he may have even known some of His teachings. But if it weren't for his friends and their radical actions, the man who was paralyzed most likely would never have had a personal encounter with Jesus. I want to be like these friends. I want to take advantage of the opportunities I have to work around the obstacles and bring a friend that much closer to Jesus.

If I were to sum up the message I took from the conference it would be this:
God is looking for people of faith who are willing to overcome
all of the obstacles to bring people with special needs to Him.
